PRESS RELEASE – MILLENNIUM ONE ON ONE CHAMPIONSHIP 2016

The Millennium is pleased to announce that following the success previous success of its one on one championship, we will again be holding this competition at our Campaign Cup event in Basildon. The event will be high profile with games being played on the CPL field.

The system is simple; entry will cost €30 per player with a prize purse of €1000 cash in case of 64 players/€500 cash in case of 32 players participating to the winner and the title of Millennium 1 on 1 Champion. 

When you register on site you will receive a number from a hat, once all the numbers are allocated you will be able to see your opponent for the first round, and the draw for any subsequent rounds. For 2016, entry will be limited to 64 players. 

Rules:

• 2 Minute Games
• 1st, 2nd and 3rd Rounds = Straight Knockout 
• Quarter Finals, Semi Finals and Finals = Race to 2
• To win point, players must eliminate their opponent or press the buzzer located on their opponents start base
• If both players are still alive at the end of 2 minutes, the one nearest their opponents start base will be declared the winner
• WPBO 500 Paint Rule

Summary:

To win: Eliminate opponent, press buzzer on opponents base, or be nearest your opponents base at end of 2 minutes.

IMPORTANT NOTE: We try as hard as we can to avoid any schedule clashes between players registered for the 1 on 1 and their divisional games.  We cannot though guarantee that this can be avoided.  If you enter the 1 on 1 , it is at your own risk schedule wise. No refunds will be given in the event of a clash. Should you notice a potential clash, please let orga know on the Friday. 

• Games played on Saturday and Sunday in the lunchbreak on the CPL Field.
• Online Pre Registrations only.

How to Register:

Online registration Opening Date TBC. To register simply log into your EPBF players account and select the "1 on 1" option from the menu

Pre Registered Players:

You MUST pay by 5pm on Friday. If not, your spot will be offered to another player and you will lose it!. Please ensure you pay, and pick your draw spot, before the deadline!

Payment:  Payment of €30 per player to be paid in cash, at the event before the Friday deadline.
