CHRIS BLACK APPOINTED AS PRESIDENT OF THE WPBO
The WPBO is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Black as its President.
Chris Black has been involved in paintball since 1996, during that time he spent 11 years as Director of Operations at Procaps, (now GI Sportz), where he developed paintball related patents and 10 years with the CXBL with responsibility for rules, game flow & technical operations.
Afterwards, Chris spent time as Director of Operations at a Fiber Optic company and for 7 years owned and ran an optimisation and project management consulting practice.
With his understanding of our industry, experience with paintball leagues, technical background and drive to get things done, Chris was the perfect choice as WPBO President ensuring that all goals and objectives are met effectively & efficiently.

The World Paintball Organisation (WPBO) is a result of cooperation & discussions between the world’s major leagues and the UPBF, in order to unify the sport of paintball and to take it to the next level and beyond.
The development of the global game has successfully grown to record levels of participation through the investment driven by the flagship tournaments; NXL, Millennium Series & Pals. With strong and constructive governance worldwide Paintball can become a true world sport.
The WPBO wishes to innovate and inspire through participation, engagement, education and proper regulation, harnessing the sport’s character-building values to engage new audiences in existing and new Paintball markets.
By creating a sustainable business and governance model to establish & promote global best practice, the WPBO aims to ensure Paintball becomes known & enjoyed by growing numbers throughout the world and considered a true sport by all.
In 2016, our sport will finally be harmonized worldwide with the same rules, ID cards and fields.
The new ID card system will allow players to use the same cards in all leagues all over the world. It will allow players & teams to have precise stats and worldwide player and team rankings.
The WPBO will have the same unique field, format & divisional structure worldwide, which in itself is a big achievement. We will all play the same game, a true sport.
A committee of the world’s best players and coaches have been working on new shapes to make playing the game the best it’s ever been. In addition they have been working on layouts which will be released early in the year and each league will be able to pick any of them for their events or create their own.
We strongly believe, by unifying the paintball tournament world, that the WPBO will be a unique tool to promote the growth of our sport.

Congratulations Aidan Ball - Our 2015 Chantilly Player of the Event!
In a game representing his National team, Aidan successfully and impressively shot out 4 players from the Dutch national team and won the point for team GB.
Aidan was awarded a brand new Shocker, courtesy of Shocker Paintball
