PRESS RELEASE - 2012 CALENDAR UPDATES
MILLENNIUM FRENCH RIVIERA CUP - DATE CHANGE
In light of the clash of dates with the NPPL/PSP's 2012 opening event and in order to ensure everybody has the opportunity to experience what is likely to be an all time Millennium Classic event, we have managed to negotiate a new date for The Millennium French Riviera Cup. The date will now be;
23rd to 25th March 2012
All accommodation information will be published shortly. At this event there will be accommodation available for all at exceptional pricing and to suit all needs.
4TH EVENT CONFIRMATION
We are pleased to announce that our final event of 2012 "The World Cup" will once again be hosted at Disney Paris on;
12th - 14th October 2012
Millennium Series 2012 Calendar
The Millennium Series is pleased to announce its preliminary schedule for 2012. Although we are waiting on some contractual completion in order to confirm some details, we are confident that we can release the following schedule to you so as to facilitate early planning for all:
2012 Preliminary Event Calendar
March 30th, 31st, April 1st - The Millennium French Riviera Cup (St Tropez-Cannes), France
May 25th, 26th, 27th - Bitburg, Germany
June 29th, 30th, July 1st - London, UK
4th Event – Venue and Date to be confirmed
The Millennium, as in 2011, will keep the Series to 4 events as we feel the prevailing economic situation in Europe does not warrant a return to 5 events next year. We will re-evaluate the situation once more at the end of the 2012 season.
Following a very successful 2011 Series which saw attendance grow against a backdrop of economic turmoil, The Millennium Series is determined to continue this trend throughout 2012 and to work closely with teams and traders to promote paintball and to encourage the sport and industry further still.
In 2012 we will introduce another new and exciting location and venue and following on from the 2011 success, will (in collaboration with the EPBF) once again give national teams the opportunity to compete for their country in EPBF International Cup competitions. Further information will be available in the coming weeks via The Millennium, EPBF and your National Federations.
As with the last couple of years we have been very careful when choosing venues to ensure the best possible value for teams, trying to keep additional costs to a minimum. Although this year we have spread slightly further afield with the addition of "The French Riviera", there will be superb and very reasonably priced accomodation for all available, (details to follow shortly), making this a very cost effective event to attend with an atmosphere second to none. This event promises to be an all time classic.
In order to fine tune and improve the playing experience at Millennium events, we will shortly be sending out a questionnaire to all teams participating in 2011 to gain a good understanding of our customer needs and requirements and act on them accordingly.

"The Pirates Team was founded eight years ago and since then has participated twice (2006 and 2007) at the Millennium Series, having failed to get great results until now due to the fact that numerous players have left the team.
We would like to dedicate this third place to the small and single sponsor of paintball "Emboscada".
We would like to congratulate the Millennium Series for organizing magnificent events and all the teams that have given us great moments of fun, and regretfully in the coming years will not participate in these events due to lack of sponsorship.

Winners: Izmir Angelpark
"Izmir Angelpark has been a cooperation between a Turkish owner, Turkish players, and some Norwegian players in 2011. When we started the season our main target was to be able to play a couple of Sundays. It has been a journey over all our expectations. I want to thank everybody that helped the team out in any possible way. That goes to our owner, players, those who collected our pods and our family and friends. We also want to thank our sponsors: DYE, Celtic, Turkish Shooting and Hunting Federation.

Div2 was pretty strong and we can't wait to step up to Div1 and perform there on a higher level. "The Millennium Series season is now over. Not only did we achieve the 3rd place at the Paris Disney World Cup, but we have every right to be proud of our overall 3rd place. Our efforts, trainings, patience, passion, but also fair play ended up really paying off.
We would like to warmly thank the Millennium Series team for the perfect organization of this event, with a particular attention to Paula’s patience, the referees’ strictness, and our opponents’ game.
We would also like to show a lot of affection for all of you who supported us this year. The players for the many constructive games we played together (7ème Compagnie, Jacks Team, White Rabbits, …), the pits and the trainers without whom all these contests could not happen and all our fans (those who could travel across the countries to support us, as well as those who were constantly in connection with us through our website).

"We started the year with our best and most experienced roster of players ever. Gaining 1st places in Paris Longchamp and Campaign Cup but a disappointing result in Germany, we knew we had to come back to France, play world cup and smash it.
We played some very close games against some talented and tough teams. Making several come backs and enduring some real nail biting moments, we achieved our goal. 1st place at World Cup and Division 1 champions for 2011 - an amazing feeling! The guys have worked especially hard this year and it has paid off.
We have to say a huge thanks to our sponsors, without them, what we have achieved simply would not have been possible. Within this period of time the team took prizes in every tournament it participated: 2010 & 2011 Championship of Ukraine winners, 2010 & 2011 The Cup of Ukraine winners, 2010 The Grand Tour Masters Division Winners & 2010 The World Cup Orlando 2nd place D4. This year the team has started its history at the Millennium Series with an aim of winning an SPL place for the season 2012 and successfully completed it! “Hulk Kiev” will proudly represent Ukraine at the SPL in the next season! "It is easy to pick up an event win, but it is MUCH harder to win the series. It happens because you have to maintain the same competitive level throughout the whole season, but it is SO HARD when you have SO many great, talented and always improving teams from all over the world. The Millennium Series is a unique league that has given such a chance of deserving such an honour of playing side by side with such competitors as top CPL teams. So we are very happy to be not just on top but to set a new standard - to play in four out of four finals of the year and to win three of them...None of the teams in the past three years have managed to do that. Looking forward to another great season where we will all together have another chance of setting new standards for OUR sport!!! There is a piece of Chaos in every art."

"Marseille Icom has been playing CPL for 5 years now and it is clear to everybody that this season we’ve reached a new step, winning most of our prelims games, 2 quarters and one semi final. We stepped up during the year, bringing new kids into the CPL and, one step at a time we joined ranks with the big teams with a 4th place in the Champions League.
There was a time when we were close to hell, fighting to stay among the best. We have always believed in ourselves and we gave a chance to succeed to many kids insofar as we formed them.
We draw our strength from the fact that we are a 100% French team; we are a real unit, playing for one another, training young players. And we aim at getting them to the top.

Art Chaos Moscow - Champions Paintball League: Champions, World Cup Paris-Disney 2011
"The Paris event is always very impressive, not only because of the beautiful city but also because of the French teams and the French crowd. The competitive level is always VERY high and it is always hard to win, World Cup Paris-Disney 2011 was not an exception. Not surprisingly in the finals we had to play not against the Americans but the proud sons of France - TonTons. Luckily we were stronger in spite of their motherland and cheering crowd. In the epic European final where both sides have shown sports professionalism and mutual respect, Art Chaos has managed to climb to the very top of European Paintball.
We give great respect to Millennium Series that keeps on making great events, we say thank you to the refs who are raising their professional level from event to event, to the fans and crowds who are making games a real sport and, of course, to all of our opponents whom we not just respect but consider to be our brothers in Sports that we are all trying to put to another level.
A separate word to our proud sponsors who have helped to create a new star in European history.
